We are now accepting sign ups for all our after school projects. If a project interests you, call or email us to sign up or get more information.
During the school year, we have the following ongoing community service opportunities Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.. These projects are designed for Youth Volunteers who want to make a more meaningful, long-term connection with one of these worthy agencies. Youth are not required to sign up for more than one week at a time, but some projects have sign-up restrictions. Call for details.
Carondelet Manor ~ Tuesday Afternoons
Youth volunteers will be interacting with the residents in various ways. This includes playing Bingo, interviewing the residents for living history projects, and helping the staff with dinner. Come join us!

Swope Ridge Geriatric Center~Second Tuesday of the month
Join nursing home residents for their monthly, themed “Supper Club.” Youth will provide assistance with the meal while spending some time with the residents. September’s Theme is Alice and Wonderland!
TIME: Starts Sept. 14th, Every 2nd Tuesday from 4p.m. to 6p.m.

PET CONNECTION ~ Wednesday Afternoons
At this no-kill, nonprofit animal shelter, Youth Volunteers will be socializing cats and dogs, cleaning pet condos, feeding, watering, walking and brushing the animals.
TIME: Starts: Sept. 8th, Wednesdays from 4p.m. to 6p.m.
LOCATION: 5918 Broadmoor, Mission, KS (On the Southwest corner of Broadmoor and Johnson Drive, behind Toto's Coffee)
OPERATION BREAKTHROUGH ~ Thursday Afternoons
Youth will have the chance to make a big difference in the lives of elementary school students living in poverty. Volunteers will serve at Operation Breakthrough in an after school enrichment program reading, tutoring, and playing games with the children.
TIME: Starts Sept. 9th, Thursdays from 4p.m. to 6p.m.
